Non-Executive Directors – NHS Sussex

NHS Sussex is is one of the largest and most complex integrated care systems in England, serving 1.7 million people across Brighton, East Sussex and West Sussex.

We have a clear vision and strategy, which requires us to work collegiately with a wide range of local NHS, local authority, voluntary, academic and wider partners, to Improve Lives Together and we are now looking for two exceptional Non-Executive Directors to help us deliver this.

As NHS Sussex we exist to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequities for all of our communities. Our population is older than the UK average and we have some of the most deprived areas in the country as well as some of the least deprived, leading to a 14 year difference in life expectancy across our geography. We serve a population living in cities, towns, rural and coastal locations with multiple transport links.

The ideal candidates for these roles will share our values and ambitions and will bring a diverse range of skills, experience and thinking to help us shape and deliver improvements to the health and care services our Sussex residents rightly demand and expect. In terms of specific professional backgrounds, we are looking for candidates who can bring either organisational development and/or partnership working experience in a large and complex multi-disciplinary system, community or organisation or clinical quality improvement and/or innovation experience in delivering NHS services in more than one healthcare setting.
