Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) have spent the last two years laying the foundations needed to support sustained improvement in the mental health services we provide. With the leadership of our able, experienced and dedicated Executive team, we are transforming as an organisation: becoming clinically led, with increased participation, placing service users and their carers at the heart of all we do.
Our staff have displayed great fortitude in supporting an ever-increasing number of people who require our care and specialist services. We have embedded a new approach to quality improvement and we are striving to ensure that we have a just and compassionate culture. As an open and transparent organisation, we recognise that we still have a long way to go before our services are of as consistently a high standard as we would like.
We have exciting plans for ensuring that the Trust consolidates the improvements we have already made and transforms, at pace, the quality of and access to our services. There has never been a more interesting or indeed more challenging time to join our Board as a Non-Executive Director as we embark on the next stage of our improvement journey. We are looking for an open, approachable and engaging individual with a strong clinical background and a genuine passion for mental health provision, who will provide challenge, support and diversity of opinion to our unitary Board team.
You will be a strong champion for our values and the best interests of our service users and carers, listening to all out stakeholders to make sure we fully understand, and are able to respond to, the challenges and opportunities ahead.
