Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SaBP) is an ambitious provider of mental health, drug and alcohol and learning disability services for people of all ages in Surrey and north east Hampshire. We provide a broad range of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency community services, early intervention and detection programmes, as well as highly specialised therapy and inpatient treatment. Our high-quality care focuses on enabling people to live well with their conditions and to work towards recovery.
We are looking to appoint a new Non-Executive Director to our Board with the ability to chair our Audit Committee. Financial acumen and a strong track record in senior-level financial and risk management in the public, private or not for profit sectors are key to success in this role; as will be the ability to make sense of financial issues for colleagues from non-finance backgrounds on the Board and with the Council of Governors. We anticipate that the successful candidate will be accountancy-qualified, but we have a real willingness to consider other relevant financial experience. As important to us is your alignment with our values and ability to think strategically: helping us look beyond the boundaries of our organisation and build relationships and partnerships with our community and across a broad range of public, voluntary and social enterprise sector organisations.
We are an inclusive employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, and from those with personal lived experience or experience of caring for a family member, to ensure that our Board reflects the diversity of our communities and encourages diversity of thought. We recognise that people can sometimes be put off applying for a job unless they think they match every requirement: don’t let that hold you back. If you are excited about the role, think you can do much of what we have described but aren’t sure if you are quite who we are looking for, please do get in touch and contact our recruitment partners, Rhiannon Smith and Jenny Adrian, at Hunter Healthcare on 07939 250362 or by email at jadrian@hunter-healthcare.com.
