Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) is the major health and wellbeing provider for a population of 1.7 million people across Lancashire and South Cumbria. We are proud to provide a wide range of mental health and learning disability services as well as physical health services in the community, including community nursing, health visiting and a range of therapy services. We employ over 7,000 members of staff operating in more than 400 sites with an annual budget of over £350 million. Our core values represent what we as an organisation, and the individuals who make up that organisation, are about. It is our aim that everything we do fits in with, and reinforces, these values: we are always learning, we are respectful, we are kind, and we are a team.
We are on an exciting journey of improvement, with significant investment being made in mental health and learning disability services and a new leadership structure aligned to our systems’ ICPs. We are committed to leading the integration of physical health, mental health, and social care services locally to deliver improved population health and tackle health inequalities.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative Trust and be at the forefront of mental health and community innovation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, our new Locality Network Director of Operations will be responsible for a range of mental and physical health services – ensuring the successful operational and clinical management of all Locality services in accordance with Trust policies and the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality services. As a proactive collaborator, you will work closely with colleagues from primary care and local acute hospitals to effectively manage community physical health on behalf of the Trust. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in contributing to the strategic vision of the Trust and the identification of the Trust’s strategic objectives. Working as part of a triumvirate, this post is one of three key leadership roles who will be working together to provide senior strategic, visible, clinical and professional leadership across the network.
This is an inspiring time to join our Trust as we take on responsibility for the implementation of specialised commissioning responsibilities from NHSE to LSCFT in our role as Lead Provider to the system. Our future Locality Network Director of Operations will have oversight and responsibility to implement these changes and this role presents an exciting opportunity to leave an impactful legacy that benefits our local population and communities.
We are looking for collaborative, driven and adaptable leaders with a strong ability to influence the strategic direction for our services. We are seeking a motivated and influential leader who is partnership led and who has significant experience engaging with stakeholders of all levels.
In return, you could be part of an upward journey, in which there is both permission and support to be innovative, in order to ensure the Trust develops excellent Locality services.
We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and welcome applications from underrepresented groups. In recruiting to our Trust, we are committed to equality of opportunity for all. We believe that the best organisations are those that reflect the communities they serve. We especially welcome applications from candidates from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic heritage, LGBTQ+ communities, and from people with lived experience of disability.
