Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is an acute trust, which operates across two hospital sites, and also runs community services in Lewisham. We have an income of around £570 million. We serve a population living within the London boroughs of Lewisham, Greenwich and Bexley, employ c.6,500 staff, and have 855 beds across our hospital sites.
Our vision is to be a consistently high performing and financially sustainable Trust by April 2021. By joining us now, you can play a key role in making this vision a reality. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Trust in a Divisional Director capacity and to contribute to an exciting new chapter of our Trust’s future.
In this Divisional Director of Operations post you will work in partnership with the Divisional Clinical Director and Divisional Director of Professions, being responsible for Allied Clinical Services Division which includes a diverse range of clinical services: Therapies, Outpatients, Radiology, Pathology and Pharmacy as well as Nutrition & Dietetics, Foot Health & Orthotics, EBME (Medical Services) and the Stop Smoking Team. You will lead the day to day operational management of the Division, ensuring it meets the needs of patients, and achieves set and agreed standards and levels of performance.
You will assure hospital performance in quality, operational standards and delivery by providing and ensuring robust and visible leadership to your team, ensuring safe, high quality and efficient service delivery. You will also seek, share and drive opportunities, through the redesign and consolidation of services, in order to deliver operational performance and transformational improvement, contributing to the overall success of the Trust.
In this role, I am looking for a proactive, astute, driven, flexible and determined individual who can meet the challenge, and who will be committed to driving forward the Trust’s future plans. I am also looking for an individual who has a strong track record of delivery, who clearly demonstrates leadership qualities, and who will be seen as inspirational and engaging by both staff and external partners.
In return, you could be part of an upward journey, in which there is both permission and support to be innovative, in order to ensure the Trust overcomes its present and future challenges.
