Director of Nursing & Quality – Integration & Commissioning

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative Trust and be at the forefront of mental health and community innovation. Reporting to the Chief Nurse, our new Director of Nursing & Quality – Integration & Commissioning will ensure high quality care is delivered across the Lead Provider Collaborative (LPC) and Integrated Care Systems (ICS) by supporting the development of a leading Nursing & Quality function.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting the development, interpretation, implementation and monitoring of overall health and integrated care service policy and strategy, ensuring that there is a robust quality assurance framework in place.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will strategically lead the LPC/ICS compliance with statutory functions associated with Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance and Surveillance, Place and Service Quality Management System, Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and Health Inequalities. As a proactive collaborator, you will provide strategic advice and support to ICS Placed Boards on matters relating to quality risks, joining up of systems and processes, triangulation of issues of concern and appropriate levels of escalation.

You will be passionate about providing the best possible outcomes for residents by ensuring the LPC/ICS commissions services that maintain a consistent focus on quality, integration and innovation. The postholder will promote a culture which values continuing professional development and strives for excellence in the delivery of patient care and quality improvement.

Qualifications

Essential

  • oAppropriate Professional Qualification (e.g. RMN)
  • oIs educated to masters degree level or equivalent.

Knowledge

  • oHas current and broad knowledge of the whole NHS context.
  • oKnowledge of the NHSE Provider Collaborative Programmes

Experience

Essential

  • oDemonstrable track record gained in leadership roles, at or near Board level, within a large and complex healthcare organisation.
  • oSubstantial experience gained in operational management across a diverse portfolio of services, with evidence of leading large staff teams and budget accountabilities and of achieving excellent performance levels
  • oEvidence of leading and managing complex change and transformation programmes across a large organisation and of supporting and inspiring individuals through this
