We are looking for an exceptional Estates and Facilities Director to join our team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH).
We are one of the largest acute teaching hospitals in the UK, with over 10,500 staff, and carry out a wide range of local and tertiary clinical services. Our new strategy has the vision of the ‘Best Care for Every Patient’ and is underpinned by five commitments: to our patients, our people, our partners, our services and our resources. The quality of our estates and facilities is integral to achieving our vision and commitments. As the key leader of these assets and services you will play a crucial and high-profile role in the organisation
The Director of Estates and Facilities will lead an ambitious estates and facilities management function and be responsible for ensuring that the Trust’s entire estate portfolio is managed safely, effectively and within statutory requirements. You will work closely with our PFI and FM partners and will need to bring personal and visible leadership to managing this relationship. In addition to this the Trust has some ambitious estates investment plans, some of which sit outside of the main PFI hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in an ambitious Trust. As such, we are seeking an experienced estates professional with a proven track record of managing strategic relationships with partners and overseeing successful large capital development projects. As well as helping us develop a new long-term estates masterplan you will also be comfortable with focussing on the detail of the day to day running of the services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate real leadership qualities in managing diverse relationships and a resolute focus on delivery to help shape the future of the Estates and Facilities Management service for NNUH. You will be a driven and resilient leader committed to improvement and who is passionate about the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda.
We strongly encourage applications from all sections of the community, particularly from under-represented groups, including disabled people and members of our black, Asian and minority ethnic communities to improve the diversity of experience within our senior leadership team.
