Thank you for showing an interest in this very exciting role within Homerton Healthcare! I have been a CEO for a few years now but only started at Homerton in October. My role is that of CEO and Place Based Leader for City and Hackney so quite a busy one!
It really is a fantastic Trust – vibrant, enthusiastic and skilled with a sprinkling of funky and fun! Hackney is the 2nd most deprived Borough in London and the Homerton has always been totally committed to making the health of City and Hackney residents the very best it can be, a mission which is especially relevant with the current economic situation. As a Trust we manage both acute and community services and are also part of one of the best integrated care systems in the country. I worked at the Homerton 10 and 20 years ago and, for all that time, the Homerton has worked closely with Primary Care, the voluntary sector and the Councils to develop really high class integrated health and social care services.
I can’t, however, do all that needs to be done both in the Trust and across the system without help! We have an excellent Executive Team but with a turnover of some long-standing members, and the launch of a new Trust Strategy in the New Year, I am keen to appoint a Deputy CEO to join us on this exciting adventure.
I’m looking for someone who believes that working closely with communities and health and social care partners is the best way to improve the health and wellbeing of the populations we serve. If you have experience of working in community or social care services and acute services, that would be ideal. I have also designed the role to be a great stepping stone to a CEO role in the future; including a good mixture of strategy and areas such as estates and facilities and mental health, which are must-knows for any CEO. You would also deputise for me regularly and in exchange I would be happy to support your development into becoming a CEO.
