Newham Health Collaborative Ltd (NHC) is a GP federation representing all the GP practices within the Newham borough boundaries. This covers a population of over 400,000 registered patients. We are established as a limited company, wholly owned by our 47 GP practice members. NHC currently has a turnover of approximately £4m, providing services to our member practices, our Primary Care Networks (PCNs) as well as our key commissioners: NHS Newham CCG and the London Borough of Newham.
We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to join our Board who will provide strategic leadership to NHC including oversight of strategy, finance, delivery, governance and HR. The post holder will have overall responsibility for all day-to-day management decisions and for developing strategies to meet the needs of our member practices and our PCNs. In addition, our CEO will be responsible for building effective relationships with all of the organisation’s key stakeholders including NHS Newham CCG, London Borough of Newham, local NHS providers including Barts Health NHS Trust and East London NHS Foundation Trust, and the patients and public of Newham.
This role requires someone with experience of working successfully at a senior level in a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation. You will have vision, proven experience in delivering major service and organisational change, and demonstrable experience of business planning processes and financial management in large organisations. You will bring deep knowledge of the statutory responsibilities of health agencies in the provision of primary care services, an excellent understanding of the primary care policy context including the role of PCNs in local systems, and have good knowledge of the CQC regulatory framework. Importantly, too, you will have excellent stakeholder management skills, be capable of expressing ideas persuasively face-to-face, and have experience of partnership working with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies.
