Chief Digital Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Chief Digital Officer for the Cheshire and Merseyside ICS.

Are you passionate about the potential to use technologies to transform the delivery of health and social care? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, energetic leader with an outstanding track record of using technology to deliver improvements in patient care, to join our team as we embark on our next phase to digitally enable seamlessly integrated and optimised health & care across Cheshire and Merseyside

You will direct and oversee implementation of the Cheshire and Merseyside Digital Programme at both Place and Integrated Care System (ICS) level. You will be accountable for the strategic and operational management of the C&M Digital programme, ensuring collaborative delivery of effective, high quality Digital services, pathways and care that meets national and local requirements.

Our digital vision is to:

  • Empower individuals to care for themselves and take control of their own health and wellbeing.
  • Enable our staff to have access to high quality information, equipped with the digital resources they need to deliver safe, high quality and efficient care.
  • Achieve a joined-up, efficient and informed patient journey, based on secure, real-time patient data.
  • Make Cheshire and Merseyside the area innovators want to come to learn about digital excellence.

Although the work we’re doing is already having a real impact, we want to take it even further.

By reducing variation and making sure all of our nine Places are making the best use of digital technology in the day-to-day care they deliver, we can reduce costs, improve standards and deliver the best possible care.

The fundamental aim of all the work we’re doing is to improve the health and wellbeing of the population we serve, supporting them in living longer, healthier lives.

The Chief Digital Officer is part of the ICS Senior leadership team, under the leadership of the Executive Medical Director and has responsibility for the digital transformation agenda for the ICS,  and undertaking a key leadership role in this agenda.
