Chair - Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

At Surrey and Borders we believe that everyone’s mental health and wellbeing should support them to live the very best life they can, and to facilitate this, we work with partners to provide outstanding care, at the best time: with empathy, compassion and respect.

Our services span the whole of Surrey and North-East Hampshire and include mental health, learning and neurodevelopmental disabilities and drug, alcohol and wellbeing services and are delivered by our team of over 3,000 dedicated, valued and inclusive colleagues. Our vision is for a better life – and we want this for everyone with whom we work: for the people who use our services and those who care for them; for our staff; for the wider community we serve; and for those working with and for all of our partners across the wider health and care system.

We are now looking for a new Chair to join our team and work across all levels of our organisation as a collaborative, passionate and dedicated partner and leader: the ideal candidate will be a visible and engaging leader, with a strong track record of working in true partnership to deliver continuous improvement and meaningful innovation; someone who can contribute effectively at board level, is intellectually curious, resilient and patient; and who shares our values and commitment to open, honest and accountable leadership.

Surrey and Borders is a genuinely inclusive employer and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, and from those with personal lived experience or experience of caring for a family member, to ensure that our Board reflects the diversity of our communities and encourages diversity of thought.
