Naturally we cannot achieve everything we wish to in isolation. We have been working as part of a very mature Integrated Care System – Surrey Heartlands – for many years. We are well advanced in collaborative working and highly committed to making improvements for our patients and communities – the reason we all come to work and do our best every day.
The role of Chair at the Royal Surrey is an exciting one with numerous opportunities to get involved in areas that interest you, right across Surrey Heartlands. There is no escaping that it is a challenging time in the NHS and this role will require empathy, emotional intelligence, coupled with the inevitable requirements for resilience and a good sense of humour.
