South West Academic Health Science Network are one of 15 AHSNs set up by NHS England across the country in 2013. We concentrate our efforts in the South West region, bringing together partners from the NHS, academia, local authorities, industry and community sectors to identify and spread innovation that improves population health and generates economic growth.
Our purpose is to transform lives through the adoption and spread of innovation in health and care and we have exciting opportunities to join our organization as Programme Director.
As Programme Director, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and delivery of a portfolio of national and regional programmes across our health and care systems. This is a gripping time to come and support us on the next step of our 5-year strategy and in so doing you will have the opportunity to deliver results in defined portfolios, as well as to support the design and implementation of emerging work with our three Integrated Care Systems.
Working with colleagues from across the South West AHSN and the wider AHSN Network, you will be dedicated to partnership working as you will lead our work to support our local health and care systems to adapt and develop care pathways and workforce models to benefit from innovative new approaches and technologies.
We are looking for innovative and passionate leaders who have experience leading large-scale programmes across complex environments. You will be accustomed to working with and leading teams and be able to clearly engage with internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for strategic thinkers, who can build trust at all levels and who are driven to improve health equity.
In return, you would be part of an upward journey, in which there is both permission and support to be innovative, in order to ensure that the South West AHSN develops a leading programme delivery function.
