One of the UK’s biggest names in recruitment is leading a new company which will take healthcare recruitment to the highest level.
Russell Clements, the former CEO of world-renowned SThree group, has been appointed non-executive chairman of Hunter/Gatherer – a company set up to invest in, build and grow healthcare recruitment companies.
Hunter/Gatherer’s first business Hunter Healthcare, provides executive, non-executive recruitment services and interim provision to the NHS. It has set the standard for the group’s wider intentions of launching and growing specialist healthcare recruitment businesses, winning the Recruiter Awards Best new agency award in 2014 and achieving considerable growth from start-up to £14 million turnover in just over four years.
The group plans to back healthcare recruitment entrepreneurs creating a complimentary stable of healthcare recruitment businesses. Clements’ influence within the company is a major coup for Hunter/Gatherer and his experience will help to ensure the individual companies meet their growth predictions.
During Clements’ time as CEO at SThree, the business grew from twenty offices of which five were overseas, to 64 offices in twenty countries.
Gavin Johnstone, chief executive, Hunter/Gatherer said:
“Russell has vast experience which includes launching, nurturing and fast-tracking recruitment businesses. Put this together with our own specialist healthcare knowledge and networks and we believe the Hunter/Gatherer proposition is truly compelling and will really makes a difference to the sector.”
