Manuel joined Hunter after a successful twelve-year period at one of the country’s leading public-sector recruiters, where his primary focus was the delivery of interim resource into local authorities across the North and Midlands regions of the UK.
Over the years, Manuel has witnessed some of the most challenging times across the public sector including elsewhere it’s Government, need to choose austerity measures. However, his focus on building and maintaining strong personal relationships and his in-depth market knowledge meant that he remained well placed to support his clients and candidates throughout this period. He is a strong believer that the best talent will always be highly sought after to meet the challenges of any market – the NHS is no different..
Manuel is a business graduate (BA Hons) who spent the majority of his childhood in hotels where he went from five-star luxury in the Middle East to his folks running a country pub, Cumbria. Having moved to Leeds in 1996 to undertake his studies and build a career, he has since dabbled in the property market as he has always been a keen DIY enthusiast. His other interests include Tottenham Hotspur and city breaks with his fiancée’.
“Before joining Hunter Healthcare, I followed the management route, which more recently led to my role primarily being focused on developing others to be effective interim recruiters as well as having responsibility to manage team budgets and performance. One day however, I woke up and realised that I was missing the people interaction that comes with growing your own personal network and really wanted to go back to one of my core strengths of just getting on with others.
