Maartje joined Hunter to build and develop our offering within the Digital Health and Genomics market, appointing candidates into strategic functions from Product and Clinical Research through to Regulatory Approvals and Commercialisation.

These businesses drive innovation but can struggle to find the best talent.

Maartje works tirelessly for these customers, offering an honest and transparent service to drive their growth & success.

Before joining Hunter, Maartje worked for Europe’s largest privately-owned Life Science recruitment company; where she was responsible for Commercial, Medical, IT and Clinical recruitment in Northern Europe, together with her team of 2 consultants.

Before her career, Maartje received a BSc in International Communications and Design from Fontys Academy for Creative Industries in Tilburg, Netherlands. After that deciding to embark upon an MSc from UCL in Global Prosperity. Maartjes’ dissertation title was: Precision Medicine – The opportunity in the Global South.

A keen collector of trainers and fashion, Maartje illustrates in her spare time and has a passion for modern art and photography. When home with her family in the Netherlands, she enjoys spending a lot of time with their rescue dogs.

“I joined Hunter because it allowed me to build personal face to face relationships with my network and genuinely get invested in their companies mission and match people with similar visions and missions.

I love working here because we are flexible and have a no-nonsense approach. It’s a young and modern company, we do a lot of sporty activities together and we are successful because of teamwork rather than internal competition”.
