James has worked within the recruitment industry for over a decade and has focused most of this time in placing interim resource into healthcare provider organisations across the north of England.
James is one of Hunter Healthcare’s long standing team members and joined the business with the ambition to adopt a rigorous approach to recruiting and selecting the best talent in interim directors and managers. He strongly believes that successful interim recruitment campaigns are driven by relationships and an understanding of the healthcare sector – not simply following a transactional sales process.
Born and bred in Cumbria, James moved to Leeds in 2002 where he graduated with first class honours in BA Business Studies. He soon settled in ‘Gods Own’ and lives with his wife and their children. In between the chaos and joy of being a Dad, James enjoys football, golf and long-distance running.
“I’ve specialised in recruiting senior level interim contractors to the NHS for over a decade and have witnessed many changes to the healthcare sector, and have just about survived! I am a big believer in building long-term relationships with those operating within the NHS and will always use this as a basis to develop a strong network of contacts, which can be leveraged in ensuring the right talent is engaged across acute organisations. Hunter gives me the opportunity to develop and grow this network through a more considered and focused approach, which avoids cold calling and unsolicited emails.”
